Networking breakfasts

Business Junction holds monthly breakfast networking events, where companies and individuals meet over a continental breakfast and coffee, hosted at one of our member establishments. Generally, about 25 business people attend each breakfast.

The format allows each business one minute to introduce themselves, explain what services and goods they offer, and to identify one or two companies they would like to target locally.

After each business has made its short presentation, any referrals, recommendations, contact details and offers of introductions to potential new business clients are made. For instance, you may well have tried to find a contact within a local establishment or company. Usually, one person there will be able to offer you a personal referral or pass on a name, making your opening call that much easier.

Afterwards, more coffee is served and informal networking takes place for 30 minutes or so.

Our breakfasts are lively and friendly, but with perhaps a more focused and intimate approach than other events. The mix of people constantly changes, so you are not meeting the same faces every time. We also do not operate a 'one member per sector' rule, so you meet a range of potential new suppliers. And you can enjoy our networking breakfasts in any area you choose.

Networking lunches

Friendly, lively, colourful and fun - but still with the focus firmly on finding new business opportunities from around the mix of business owners, directors, managers, entrepreneurs and professionals.

Held at fine restaurants, lunch is always in a buffet style, where there are plenty of dishes for every taste and dietary requirement. We also offer a complimentary glass of wine or soft drink alternative.

At each lunch, we invite one or two businesses to make a brief presentation, focussing on their background and experience, and the lessons they have learned along the way.

The rest of the time, usually 2 hours in total, is taken up with informal networking, with the emphasis on encouraging new relationships from whcih new business deals or contacts can arise. Attendee numbers range from an intimate dozen or so to over 50 attendees, depending on time of year and location. Pre-booking is essential. 

Evening networking & social events

Business Junction evening events are a chance to meet the largest number of fellow members under one roof. Hosts are selected for the space and welcome they can offer our guests. Member restaurants and hotels, but occasionally art galleries and other interesting member locations, are used. Complimentary drinks and canapes get the conversations flowing.

Our evening events are a chance for old business contacts to be renewed and for new guests to make valuable introductions amongst their local business neighbours.

Generally, numbers have ranged between 80-350 business people. Wherever the venue, you will always find a wide range of representives of the local and wider business community, all coming together to exchange business cards, stories, information, leads and, in many cases, immediate offers of advice and work.

We help new attendees to find suitable people to talk to and our data sheets mean we can steer you towards those who will be interested in what you do and who may be able to help you with their services.
Members can send along two representatives free to our evening events, subject to space. For guests who want to try out our network, we charge around £45 per person. Members' full business descriptions also exclusively appear on event data sheets.
