60 businesses will join Business Junction's lunch event at the Lincoln Plaza London, a short walk from Canary Wharf station. At midday, in advance of our lunch, there will be an opportunity to hear from Councillor Amina Ali, Chair of the Tower Hamlets Brexit Commission, who will give a short summary of the Commission’s February 2019 report and key recommendations, including impact of Brexit on business supply chains, procurement, and staffing.

This talk will last 10 minutes and will be followed by Q+A and then the Business Junction networking lunch will commence at 12.30pm as usual.

Places for this short presentation are limited so please let us know if you would like to attend.

The Tower Hamlets Brexit Commission was established in September 2018 to examine the likely impact of the UK's departure from the European Union on the borough. It was tasked with focusing on three key areas: delivery of public services, business and the local economy, and civil society.  The commission’s research was supported by Capital Economics, who undertook a detailed economic analysis of the local economy.  In February 2019, the commission released its report and key findings, along with 24 key recommendations for local and central government, businesses and public organisations.

Chair of the Brexit Commission, Councillor Amina Ali, will be providing an a presentation on the Brexit Commission, with a particular focus on the business sector.  This will include a summary of the February 2019 report and an overview of the key findings and recommendations relating to issues such as supply chains, procurement, and staffing. This will also be an opportunity to understand how the council could support businesses who may be struggling to plan for Brexit.

Our events are open to all business people from all business sectors and we have over 100 sectors represented in our membership of over 500 companies. As with all our events, an attendee list is circulated in advance.
