Business Junction invites you to join 120 companies for this special networking lunch reception, kindly hosted by The Lord Kamall, on Wednesday 14th June in the Cholmondeley Room and Terrace at the House of Lords, Westminster.

The UK now has over 70 international trade agreements in place and Lord Kamall will give a short talk and Q & A session on the opportunities and challenges arising from the latest agreements. The government has established the Strategic Trade Advisory Group and a network of expert Trade Advisory Groups to support the development of our trade policy and negotiations.

Guests will be welcomed with a drinks reception followed by a buffet lunch:

Suffolk grilled chicken pasanda with cumin, spinach, spiced cauliflower, curry butter sauce
Confit spiced-Indian baby aubergine with onion and tomato, chickpea curry salad, coconut sauce
Smoked Cotswold brie - spring onion, doubled-baked soufflé charred spring onion, chive and Champagne cream
Poached Loch Duart salmon with crushed minted Jersey Royal salad, tomato and basil, Hollandaise sauce

Followed by: 
Strawberry and Rhubarb - vanilla and strawberry cheesecake mousse, pickled rhubarb, strawberry compote

About Syed Kamall

A member of the UK House of Lords, where he is Co-Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for the Commonwealth, Syed is also a Professor of International Relations and Politics at St Mary’s University, Twickenham and works with two think tanks: the Institute of Economic Affairs and Politeia. He has also been appointed as a Non-Executive Director at the Department of Business and Trade.

He has held the roles of Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport and the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Technology, Innovation and Life Sciences at the Department of Health and Social Care.

Formerly a Conservative MEP for London, he also led the European Conservatives and Reformists political group of MEPs and worked to promote open trade, tech start-ups and proportionate financial regulation. He is also involved with several local comunity projects in London.
