Welcome to the September 2019 edition of the Business Junction How We Met and Prospered blog series.

In this edition, we speak to Samantha Cohen, Managing Director of SJC Bookkeeping.

Thanks for speaking with us today. Would you mind telling us a bit about you and your organisation? 

 I have been in the bookkeeping industry for over 25 years. I started SJC Bookkeeping Ltd 6 years ago and have a great team of experienced individuals who will get your job done within budget and timescale. We believe in the personal touch. SJC Bookkeeping is large enough to meet all your financial needs but small enough to know your name when you call.

Our offices are in Stanmore but our client base is spread across the UK.  We have a wide range of clients: SME’s including property companies, charities, interior designers, lawyers and numerous other industries.

We take a proactive approach and pride ourselves in finding workable solutions so that each client feels supported in their immediate and future planning - we believe in working alongside you and your accountant, to ensure all your needs are met.  We have experience in helping owner managed businesses and can give you the flexibility of cost effective bookkeeping without the commitment of employing staff.

We are now in our second year of membership with Business Junction.

What made you become a member of Business Junction?

I wanted to restart my networking activities and after visited several other networking groups, I found Business Junction to be a very efficient and professional organisation, with the highest quality events and attendees, and a network that I was very happy and comfortable to join.

Have you made any good connections from the  Business Junction network?

Yes – I have made many good contacts and potential collaborative partnerships through the events I have attended.

Have these connections given you any business?

Yes, I have gained a number of new pieces of work through these connections.

Has Business Junction helped grow your network as a whole?

Yes.  I always add a number of new connections to my network after each event.

Has Business Junction helped your Business in any other ways?

It has certaiinly widened my pool of professionals to call upon when needed.

Finally, do you have any last words for those who are thinking of joining Business Junction?

I think Business Junction covers everything that most businesses would look for in a network and would not hesitate in recommending them as a networking group worth joining. Non-members can visit twice to try the group out before deciding about membership.
