Terms and Conditions

Business Junction Ltd. and Business Junction are the property of Business Junction Inc. Ltd., a UK-registered company, and are subject to UK company law.

Business Junction Inc. Ltd. and Business Junction promote business opportunities between companies. This is the focus of all online and offline activities, including those of its members, subscribers, website users and event attendees. Business Junction services are provided to businesses only. These Terms apply on a business-to-business basis and not to consumers.

The website www.businessjunction.co.uk is offered to all users and members conditional upon acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Use of this website constitutes agreement to these Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions may be updated without notice.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

Membership of Business Junction

Business Junction membership is for a minimum of one year, as stated on the membership invoice. The annual membership fee cannot be cancelled or refunded. The full annual fee is due on joining.

Alternatively, payment may be made in 12 monthly instalments, which must be paid promptly and in full. Membership is automatically renewed after 12 months where payments continue without interruption. All fees are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.

Membership normally begins on receipt of payment. Where access is granted prior to payment, this is at the discretion of Business Junction and does not waive the obligation to pay the full annual fee. Failure to pay will result in suspension of membership. Business Junction reserves the right to pursue full annual payment and will only reactivate membership once payment has been received in full.

Late or irregular payments are costly to administer. Business Junction reserves the right to charge £25+VAT if payments are not made within 30 days of the due date. If the first payment is not received within 7 working days of the invoice date, or if a standing order is not set up or payments are missed, Business Junction may request immediate payment of the full outstanding balance.

Membership is open to companies wishing to promote their goods and services to other businesses and who are open to promoting other members. Applicants must confirm they have authority to request membership on behalf of their company.

Business Junction reserves the right to refuse or cancel membership, or restrict access to events or online services, at its discretion and without obligation to provide a reason.

Any company or representative acting in a manner not aligned with the aims of Business Junction may have membership suspended or terminated. This includes, but is not limited to, non-payment, spamming members, posting inappropriate content, aggressive promotion, or promoting competing networks to the detriment of Business Junction. No refunds will be issued in such circumstances.

Membership benefits may include priority event invitations, reduced or complimentary entry to selected events, and inclusion in the printed or online directory, all at the discretion of Business Junction.

Each member company may send two representatives to events under the terms of membership. Additional attendees may be subject to restrictions and charges.

Inclusion in the Business Junction Directory is discretionary and dependent on payments being up to date. Production of the directory is not guaranteed.

Alerts

To benefit from Business Junction subscription services, companies must hold an active membership.

Members have access to the Alerts service, allowing them to network continuously by sharing referrals, opportunities, supplier requests and other relevant information.

Online Content

Members and subscribers are responsible for any content they post or transmit through Business Junction platforms and will be identified as the originators. All content must align with the aims of Business Junction.

Business Junction does not guarantee the accuracy or quality of content shared and accepts no liability for any loss or damage resulting from its use. Users may encounter content that is offensive or objectionable.

The Alerts service is passively moderated. Posting inappropriate material may result in suspension or termination of access without refund.

Alerts issued by Business Junction are for information only and must not receive responses.

Member Alerts must be limited to requests, recommendations and referrals. Members may promote themselves only in response to an Alert. Direct promotional Alerts are not permitted and may result in suspension or removal.

Privacy

Business Junction and Junior Junction are operated by the same organisation and share data solely for internal purposes.

All personal and corporate data is used only by Business Junction in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Data is not shared with third parties.

From time to time, Business Junction may work with partner organisations offering relevant services. These partners do not have access to member data.

Sexual and Racial Harassment

All members and guests have the right to feel safe at Business Junction events.

Any form of sexual or racial harassment will not be tolerated. Business Junction will take appropriate action, which may include removal from membership and banning from future events.

Advertisers

Any dealings with partners, associates or advertisers are solely between the user and the third party.

Event Bookings

All attendees must book in advance. Entry cannot be guaranteed without prior booking. Business Junction may allow entry at its discretion, subject to payment within 24 hours.

Business Junction reserves the right to pursue unpaid fees and suspend members for non-payment.

Bookings can be made online, by email or by telephone. A place may be held for two days pending payment. Payment confirms attendance and liability for the booking.

Cancellations or transfer requests must be made at least 24 hours before the event. Refunds and transfers are at the discretion of Business Junction. Any transferred booking must be used within three months.

Event attendee lists and datasheets are provided at the discretion of Business Junction and are not guaranteed. Late bookings may not be included.

No card details are stored when payments are made.

Attendee lists including company name and website are shared with attendees. Additional attendee details may be shared with the host venue.

Catering, Food and Allergies

All catering is provided by third-party venues. Business Junction accepts no liability for any issues arising from food or drink.

Attendees must inform venue staff of any allergies or dietary requirements. Consumption of food and drink is at the attendee’s own risk.

Force Majeure

Business Junction is not liable for delays or cancellations caused by events beyond its reasonable control.

Event Photography and Videography

Photography and videography may take place at events for use on Business Junction channels.

Attendance constitutes consent unless prior written opt-out is provided by contacting admin@businessjunction.co.uk.

External Links

Business Junction is not responsible for the content, products or services of external websites.

Cancelling Membership

After the first year, membership may be cancelled at any time by email, provided all payments are up to date.

Membership benefits will cease at the end of the current membership period. Rejoining will require a new membership and payment.

Cancelling Standing Orders and Direct Debits

It is the responsibility of the member to cancel any payment instructions.

If an overpayment occurs, Business Junction reserves the right to charge a £25+VAT administration fee, deducted from the refund. Additional refunds may incur further fees.

Indemnity and Liability

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Business Junction Inc. Ltd., its officers, employees and agents from any claims arising from your use of services or breach of these Terms.

Business Junction accepts no liability for indirect or consequential loss. Liability is capped where permitted by law. Nothing excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Business Junction Ltd. is registered in England and Wales (Company No. 07428021), with its registered office at Swissland Hill, East Grinstead, RH19 2NA.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
